Sigma Labs Gives Joint Presentation at RAPID 2015
SANTA FE, N.M., June 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sigma Labs, Inc. (OTCQB:SGLB) ("Sigma Labs" or the "Company"), a developer of advanced, in process, non-destructive quality inspection systems for metal-based additive manufacturing ("AM") and other advanced manufacturing technologies, today announced that on Wednesday, May 20, Mark Cola, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Labs, jointly presented with Honeywell International, Inc. at the RAPID 2015 Conference in Long Beach, California. The presentation, given during the standards and compliance session of the conference, was titled "Additive Manufacturing in Aerospace Production" and was attended by approximately 200 industry and government participants.
"We were very pleased to have been asked to present, alongside Honeywell, at this year's preeminent RAPID 2015 convention," said Mark Cola, President and CEO of Sigma Labs. "With thousands of people in attendance, the event serves as a showcase for established and next-generation AM technologies. Our presentation specifically focused on aerospace applications, including jet engines, and highlighted the work being done by Honeywell at various manufacturing centers worldwide. Honeywell stated that they viewed additive manufacturing as a 'game-changing' technology that could potentially reduce the cost of certain components, optimize design and manufacturability, improve supply chain management, and lower engineering development times. Honeywell further stated that they are a supporter of small businesses like Sigma Labs and are committed to using technologies like INSPECT™, DEFORM™, and ANALYTICS™ for their future AM production needs. Sigma Labs is collaborating with Honeywell to build an in-process system that provides objective evidence of compliance to design intent based on the Company's suite of PrintRite3D® software. We look forward to working with Honeywell on their strategic objectives going forward."
